Brasserie Westersail is located in the charming water sports village of Earnewald. With a café and a terrace adjacent to the national park 'de alde feanen' and overlooking the Earnewaldster wiid.
At this unique location, guests can enjoy lunch, drinks, or dinner. “Westersail is truly a fair-weather business,” says owner Sytze Mulder. High-quality parasols are an absolute must for us. “Our village attracts many tourists such as water sports enthusiasts and cyclists. Most visitors want to stay outside as long as possible. Watching boats. Even if it gets a bit cooler, a breeze picks up, or some rain falls. That's why we invested in two new large parasols with rain gutters and an extended mast due to the heaters attached to our building. An ideal solution.”
"Westersail is a fair-weather business. Good parasols are a must!"
INVESTING IN THE FUTURE
"Our terrace has a more luxurious appearance. There is now room for 14 tables."
Westersail receives many positive reactions to the renovated terrace. They can now accommodate 14 tables outside in all weather conditions and remain open all year with good weather. “People really stay longer. And that is now possible in the winter, for example, when skating is possible again. That's good for revenue, and that's of course also important.”
As a truck driver, Sytze lived in the hospitality industry. That's where his passion for the profession began and the drive to change course emerged. “Now, years later, I have two children aged 24 and 21 who are going to take over the business. That's why we started renewing. The parasols are a good example of that and the investment is more than worth it.”
